“ Loved this place! Staff was so welcoming and kind. So many options to choose from. We got the steamed chicken rice soup, curry chicken, and chicken buns. Everything was so delicious and full of flavor. The ginger sauce that came with the steamed chicken was phenomenal. The perfect amount of spice. Their papaya salad was fresh and refreshing. My favorite dish was the curry chicken. 10/10 would recommend! ”

The emphasis lies on the sauces: a seafood sauce dominated by fish sauce, a pungent and aromatic ginger sauce, and a sweet and dense amber-colored syrup, each with its own charm. The rice is quite unique, round and short, mixed with crispy rice crust, adding several degrees of fragrance. The grilled chicken was flavorful, not overly exotic in its spice profile, but rather a crowd-pleasing seasoning that most palates can appreciate. If you order the somtum gai yang set, you'll also receive a serving of green papaya salad—crisp, tangy, and sweet—sure to tantalize your taste buds! The Roti is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, served alongside fragrant green curry. The Thai milk tea has a thick, cooling herbal tea-like flavor. It's sweet, but thankfully the tea flavor is not lacking. ”

“ Friendly service in the busy Canal Street Market. You can either order and pay at the kiosk (4% fee), or order at the counter and pay cash. Betong seemed to be busier than some of the other food vendors. It’s nice to be able to see into the food prep area as your meal is being made. The food looks as good as the pictures on the menu. There’s a bit of a wait as the food is prepared but it’s worth it. If you’re in a group, use the wait time to secure seating. ”

“ Located in the canal street market, a hidden gem, fully halal menu. We got the chicken curry and grilled chicken and rice. The chicken is very tender, don’t need teeth, the green curry is spicy and aromatic, and the rice is just perfect. Service is professional, staff is respectful and food came out fast. Highly recommend, give it a try! ”

“ Omggg if I could give this place 10 stars I would. We stumbled in here after going to the Banksy Museum and the smell as soon as you walk in is amazing!! It’s towards the back on the right side. The service was gentle and accommodating. The food was beyond mouthwatering!!!! They were so friendly and let us sit right up front to eat comfortably. I had the #5 (chicken tom yum noodle with chicken bun) and my partner had #6 (salmon curry middle with chicken bun) my boyfriend devoured his food and left a nice tip! We also had Thai lemon iced tea which has a nice small kick to it I’m not sure what spice but it’s perfect. The noodles with the chicken are a little spicy but not too spicy. The broth for the salmon is creamy and a little thick. I would come back here a million times. The music, atmosphere, great food & service were unbeatable and affordable prices. ”
